Fool your kids into eating something fattening
Imagine your kid’s surprise when he bites into a healthy, organic peanut butter and strawberry preserves sandwich and realizes it’s actually a sugar-laden cake filled with frosting?
More importantly, imagine their shock when the next day their sandwich is just a PB&J?!
This cake pan is shaped like a loaf of bread. So it produces this surrealistic sandwich that makes your lunchbox feel like Willy Wonka‘s factory.
Peanut butter frosting
Tyler Florence, of the Food Network, has a recipe for peanut butter and jelly cupcakes that you could modify for this pan.
Peanut Butter Frosting:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature 1 cup smooth peanut butter 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature 4 cups confectioners’ sugar 1 tablespoon milk Beat the butter, peanut butter, and cream cheese with a hand or standing mixer on medium speed, until light and fluffy. Slowly add the confectioner’s sugar and continue to mix until the frosting is smooth, mix in the milk and continue to mix until it reaches a good spreading consisting.
