Herb keeper preserves fresh herbs in the fridge

I thought I had seen everything in the kitchen gadget world. Actually, I never thought that. There are far too many wacky things available; but it sounds like a good way to start off this blog post.

But going back to the “I thought I had seen everything…” thought. I was in Williams Sonoma today lusting over a coffee maker that costs close to 1/3 of a smart car. I finally left this prize and found this nifty gadget for keeping your herbs fresh in the fridge.

The Prepara Herb Savor has a small reservoir for water at the bottom and an open space for the herbs. This makes the basil think it is still a happy camper growing in the sun.
